Dear brothers and sisters,

For those which know less the subject, recruitment aims at offering the possibility to the non-union workers to become it. I would like to take a few minutes of your time to request your assistance and your collaboration in order to find contacts.

A recruitment campaign, almost always starts with a contact. The contact it is a serious, determined and discrete person who works in a place not unionized.

You have all have family, friends. They all are potential contacts. Also think of the non-union workers who work close to you (subcontractors, suppliers) without forgetting the members layed off or retired.

The best way of obtaining a contact remains the word to mount. When you discuss with potential contacts, listen. They can express certain dissatisfactions compared to their work environment. This can be an element release to want to unionize. They myth want to improve their work conditions, to insure the respect of the laws and work standards, in short to be respected.

Here are the qualities of a good contact. He (she) is credible, respectful, leader, employed without history, reliable and responsible. He (she) is also a good communicator, friendly and trustful, discrete and available. Over all he (she) as the will to unionize to recruit.

There is inciting for this purpose. Any person who refers a contact which brings to the signature of a first collective agreement will receive an amount equivalent to:

20 à 50 members = $100.00

51 à 100  members = $250.00

101 à 250 members = $500.00

251 à 500 members = $1000.00

501 à 750 members = $2500.00

751 à 1000 members = $ 3500.00

+ de 1000 members = $5000.0

This amount is paid by the Local Lodge and an equivalent amount will be paid by District 11.

The members are our eyes and ears. You are in direct contact with people, therefore placed very well to locate potential contacts. To unionize it is a question of respect. Everyone is entitled to the respect. If you have contacts, contact me at:
